The Elsaco group of companies received Tuesday, 04.04.2017, the visit of H.E. Hans Klemm, the U.S. Ambassador to Romania, together with representatives of the embassy. On this occasion, the distinguished guest visited the headquarters of the group of companies, after which he attended a presentation of the activity of the companies.
“One of the priorities of my mandate, alongside with promoting security and the democratic values, is to help the companies seeking to do business in the U.S. and the Romanian companies that want to sell products and promote projects in the U.S. Also, during the discussions with the Romanian President, I have always emphasized the importance of finding ways to strengthen the economic relations between our countries, to increase the exchange of goods and services. There are many American companies on the Romanian market, in various sectors, I wish they would be more, but those present see Romania’s growth potential. Such interactions with businesses in Romania help us find out more about the economic environment and identify opportunities for growth and consolidation of the bilateral relations”, said Hans Klemm.
The American Ambassador was interested to know the opinion of the management of the Elsaco group of companies regarding the economic climate in Romania, the opportunities for development and cooperation with the U.S. companies and the obstacles encountered over time.
“It’s the most important visit that Elsaco receives from the beginning of its activity. To have here, in Botosani, an ambassador of the most powerful country in the world gives us confidence that our business is visible and of interest to foreign markets. I learned many business lessons from the U.S. companies. The collaboration with an American company imposes a code of ethics. It may seem strange at first glance, but is particularly important. In the recent years in Romania has been made a great progress regarding the fight against corruption and this fact must become known to remove the reluctance of the foreign investors. Given the existing partnership between the two countries and the shared economic interests, it is important to act in order to encourage and increase the American investments in Romania.
I think that there is a huge potential in the Romanian market for the American companies in various fields of activity, we need projects and investments. Also, it matters how we manage to promote ourselves abroad, how we show that we are a reliable partner. We participate in large tenders and approach them with foreign partners, and they give a guarantee that we are a serious and healthy player”, said Valeriu Iftime, President of the Board of the Elsaco group of companies.About the collaboration of Elsaco with Itron and Rockwell Automation
