For more than two decades, Elsaco has implemented projects that have changed the lives of local communities, and the project beneficiaries have streamlined their costs, developed new and efficient power generation sources to support a higher production rate, provided clients with a quality and performant water/hot water/heat supply service, and managed and reduced network losses.
Elsaco is a group of companies mainly present in the domains of energy, water and utilities, its main objective being to increase energy efficiency. The group consists of 8 companies covering areas such as: EPC projects, distribution and sale of measurement and control equipment, energy efficiency solutions, process and business software, IT & C solutions, residential smart metering.
We continuously develop our performance to match our customers’ needs. Our solutions contribute to better living and working conditions for people and to the sustainable development of our society.
Elsaco History
1992 1993
Elsaco S.R.L. is set up, company whose activity was taken over in 1994 by Elsaco Electronic SRL.

Is being realized the first remote control system for district heating substations in Slobozia and Călărasi.

Elsaco Electronic SRL is set up by the four shareholders – Valeriu Iftime, Ovidiu Jitaru, Petru Parfenov and Doru Popa,
who form the present Council of Administration.

Elsaco becomes the sole distributor in Romania for the utility meters made by Schlumberger Industries, currently known as Itron.

Is being realized the first computer under the Elsaco brand.

Streamlining the company’s global activity by dividing its organizational structure in departments.
1997 1998 1999
Is adjudicated the first integrated project of metering, monitoring and automation, implemented at Ecoterm SA Făgăraș with funding from EBRD.
Is designed and manufactured the first M-Bus dedicated electronic reading equipment for heat meters.

Is reached the figure of 100.000 residential meters installed in Romania.

Is adjudicated the first automation and SCADA system for 24 heating substations at the largest district heating operator in Romania, RADET București.

Is adjudicated the first SCADA and AMR project of monitoring and control for 76 suppy stations at Apaterm SA Oradea (now Compania de Apă SA).
Is started the first project with external financing under the PHARE program: Assembly line for partitioning meters, with a value over 200.000 €.

The ”Elsaco Panther” computer is designated the product of the year in the “PC Magazin” publication.

Is developed the first software product dedicated to the utility companies(water, heating) for the management of the meters, clients, production and comsumption billing: Elsaco ACE.

The company’s book “Elsaco – Ten years of success” is launched at Elsaco Oscar Awards Gala.
Elsaco ESCO SRL is founded.

Elsaco Electronic becomes a majority shareholder at Fotbal Club Botosani.
The first water metering system with portable reader is implemented at the water supply operator in Kragujevac — Serbia.

Is reached the figure of 250.000 of heat cost allocators installed in Romania.
Is adjudicated the first cogeneration-combined heat and power(CHP)project at Energomur SA Tg. Mureș

Starts the first external project of complex AMR M-Bus system for The Pearl of Quatar, realized with our own hardware and software products.
Is adjudicated the biggest project of hydraulic balancing for heating networks from București.

Is adjudicated the first project of rehabilitation and modernization of water and wastewater pipelines in Botoșani (completed in 2011).
Starts the first tourism project financed by the Regional Operational Program 2007-2013 – “EL–Quatro” Board and Lodging House, Voronet.
Elsaco Energie Verde SRL is founded for investment projects in renewable energy(wind)area.

The “Wind Farm” project starts in Botoșani county.

The first real estate project “Attic Modernization” starts in Botoșani.

The first projects for implementation of cogeneration sources of heat and power, namely of district heating rehabilitation, are awarded at the heating companies in Botoșani and Bacău, under the SOP Environment.

Is awarded the works contract for district heating network rehabilitation and heating points in Focșani municipality.

Is launched the new brand identity of the company.
Elsaco Engineering SRL and Elsaco Energy SRL are founded.
2013 20142015
Elsaco celebrates 20 years of activity in the equipment, energy services and utilities market.
Is adjudicated the cogeneration project – combined heat and power at Chimcomplex SA Borzești, financed through SOP IEC(completed in 2015).
Is adjudicated the biggest project if implementation of a cogeneration heat and power source for Oradea municipality.
Is adjudicated the first environmental project for the flue gas desulphurisation at the coal combustion plant form CET 2 Iași(Holboca).
Is implemented the new computer system of electronic commerce and transactions within Elsaco, worth 200.000 € – SOP IEC(2014).
Elsaco International SRL Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, is founded.
2014 20152016
Chimcomplex SA Borzești carries out the performance test and accepts the new cogeneration source realized by Elsaco, which also marks the beginning of the maintenance contract.
Is adjudicated the contract for the rehabilitation of the water treatment plant in Vatra Dornei.
Is implemented the project regarding the rehabilitation of the water treatment plant in Fălticeni.
The distribution and sales activities of utility and energy equipment, industry dedicated, are taken over by the new company of the Elsaco group, Vestra Industry SRL.
