Elsaco Electronic has completed a new project in the field of hydro works, in Craiova

On Thursday, March 21st 2024, the Verbal Process of reception at the end of the works was signed, related to the contract “Rehabilitation of the chlorination station and development of the Isvarna capture area; Rehabilitation and expansion of the Isvarna – Craiova supply pipeline, thread II, section I”.
The project included: the complete rehabilitation of the chlorination station and the arrangement of the Isvarna capture enclosure, local SCADA dispatch, network rehabilitation and expansion works on a total length of 20,520 m (excavations, relining and CIPP, pipe replacements, linings), 51 water tanks made of monolithic cast reinforced concrete, rehabilitation/execution of undercrossings of roads and bends, overcrossings of rivers.
The project was implemented by the Elsaco Electronic Association (leader) – Hidroconstrucția – Ecoapa Design in the period 2020-2024 and had a value of approx. 122 million lei, excluding VAT.
“We are glad that we were part of the largest sewerage and water supply contract in Europe, with a value of over half a billion euros, an investment through which the people of Craiova will have the best quality water at their taps.

Elsaco Electronic signed a new contract in the field of cogeneration, in Constanța

The association Elsaco Electronic – Elsaco Engineering – Vestra Industry signed the contract for the design and execution of the “High-efficiency thermal and electrical energy production source through high-efficiency cogeneration in the city of Constanța”.
This project envisages the construction of a high-efficiency cogeneration thermal and electrical energy production unit, which uses natural gas, with the future possibility of introducing hydrogen produced from renewable resources (green hydrogen) into the mix. The new source will have a nominal thermal capacity of 160 MWt.
The value of the contract is over 117 million euros, excluding VAT, and the completion date is 30.06.2026.
“The high-efficiency cogeneration plant will consist of 5 internal combustion thermal engines, with operation on natural gas in a flexible configuration, which will allow the use of green hydrogen mixed with natural gas. The rest of the energy is produced by 4 hot water boilers, respectively 2 steam boilers. Engines and boilers being prepared to operate with hydrogen mixed with natural gas will meet the requirements of European legislation, and their use will also represent a step towards a greener future”, said Alexandru Zală, Elsaco Electronic Project Manager.

Elsaco Electronic signed the contract for the refurbishment of CET Hidrocarburi Arad, with a value of over 80 million euros

The association of Elsaco Electronic, Elsaco Engineering and Vestra Industry signed the contract for the design, technical assistance and execution of the works for the achievement of the investment objective “High-efficiency cogeneration thermal and electrical energy production source at CET Hidrocarburi SA”.
The refurbishment of CET Hidrocarburi is the most ambitious project of Arad in the last 34 years and one of the largest in the country in the field of heat and electricity production through cogeneration. The value of the contract is over 397 million lei, excluding VAT.
The object of the project is to reduce primary fuel consumption by more than 30%, through the production of electricity and thermal energy in high-efficiency cogeneration and the reduction of CO2 emissions in the atmosphere. The deadline for the completion of the project is June 30, 2026.
“We are moving towards the execution of the largest urban energy project, in my opinion. It is obvious that the population wants comfort, renewable energy, reduced costs, therefore we aim to deliver an excellent project from all points of view. In Arad, we will use a technology that will be applied for the first time both in Romania and in Europe, namely an equipment which can burn hydrogen in a mixture with methane gas. Both the engines and the boilers that we will bring to Arad can burn this mixture”, said Valeriu Iftime, President of the Board of Directors of the Elsaco group of companies.

Elsaco Electronic signs a series of major contracts with Bucharest City Hall for the capital’s heating system

On Tuesday, November 1, Valeriu Iftime, the President of the Board of Directors of the Elsaco group of companies, signed with Nicușor Dan, the General Mayor of the Capital, 3 of the 5 contracts for the rehabilitation of 210 km heating network, with European funding (POIM). The total value of the investment is 260 million euros.
The work was divided into 5 lots, each approximately 40 km long, with Elsaco Electronic winning 3 of them, two as leader and one as associate:
• Lot 1 – Magistrala II SUD – Association SC ELSACO ELECTRONIC SRL (Leader) – SC SICOR SRL (associate) – SC ENERGOMONTAJ SA (associate);
• Lot 2 – Magistrala II – III Grozăvești – Association SC ELSACO ELECTRONIC SRL (Leader) – SC SICOR SRL (associate) – SC ENERGOMONTAJ SA (associate);
• Lot 5 – Magistrale II Sud, II-III Grozăvești, V Grozăvești, Progresu – Berceni, II West, I-II-III West – SC ENERGOMONTAJ SA Association (Leader) – SC ELSACO ELECTRONIC S.R.L (associate) – SICOR SRL (associate ) – IPCT INSTALLATII S.R.L. (associate).
The contracts for the design and execution were concluded for a period of 4 years, the design has already been started and the execution of the works will start next spring.
“In relation to this contract, I mention two aspects. The first takes into account the importance of the project, which thus enters the history of thermal energy in Bucharest, being the largest contract signed for the rehabilitation of the primary heating circuit, a matter done over 20 years late.
The other aspect takes into account the fact that, although Elsaco Electronic has extensive experience in this type of projects, the contract represents a great challenge, both for us as an entrepreneur, from the point of view of attracting labor in the future, especially specialists, as well as for the Bucharest City Hall, which will have to pay a lot of attention to the citizens and to minimize as much as possible the discomfort created as a result of the works”, said Valeriu Iftime.

Smart Energy Metering project, worth 79 million lei, implemented in Romania

Distribuție Energie Electrică România (DEER) signed a contract to implement an Intelligent Electricity Distribution System for the entire network in the 18 counties, with the joint venture Simetrix Business Software, Elsaco Solutions and Cuculus GmbH.

The contract, “Development and Implementation of MDM & MDC Integrated Platforms”, aims to implement the Cuculus ZONOS IoT Platform for MDC (Meter Data Collection) and MDM (Meter Data Management) as well as a number of related services, including operations, for the entire distribution network over the course of eight years.
“At the present time, digitized applications and processes are becoming increasingly relevant to the energy sector. With innovative systems and solutions that contribute to a more functional, smart, integrated and cleaner energy system, digital technologies have significant potential to contribute to and facilitate the energy transition. Smart meters, together with the solutions of an integrated and centralized measurement data management system, represent the beginning of the transformation of electricity networks, generating, in fact, multiple benefits for consumers “, said Mihaela Rodica Suciu, General Manager of Distribuție Energie Electrică România.

Elsaco Electronic rehabilitates the district heating network in Constanța, a contract worth over 100 million lei

Elsaco Electronic signed, with the City Hall of Constanța, the contract “Rehabilitation of primary thermal networks / transport of thermal energy in Constanța – Stage I”.

The above mentioned contract was awarded, following an open public tender, to Elsaco Electronic. The value of the contract is 103.150.000 lei without VAT, and the execution term is 24 months. The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund through the Large Infrastructure Operational Programme 2014 – 2020.
In this stage, 21.605 km of the route belonging to the first highway will be rehabilitated, as well as the connecting strap between the two highways.
The general objective of the project is to increase the energy efficiency of the district heating system in Constanța by reducing thermal energy losses in the primary heating networks.
The expected results following the implementation of the project are: increase of the length of the rehabilitated primary thermal networks by 43.210 km of rehabilitated primary thermal network (21.605 km route), reduction of thermal energy losses in the transmission networks by 42,311 Gcal / year (177.15 TJ / year), reduction of pollutant emissions produced by the district heating system in Constanța as a result of the investment made in this project.

Elsaco Electronic signs a new contract, worth over 90 million lei

Elsaco Electronic signed, with the municipality of Oradea, the contract “Geothermal energy recovery in association with heat pumps, for the production of heating and hot water in Nufărul I – Oradea”.

The contract was awarded, following an open public tender, to the association formed by Elsaco Electronic S.R.L. and Energomontaj S.A., led by Elsaco Electronic. The value of the contract is 89.930.000 lei without VAT, the execution term being 24 months.
The aim of the project is to increase the use of local geothermal renewable energy resources for the preparation of heating and hot water, as well as the making new thermal energy production capacities in the central heating system SACET Oradea, with geothermal energy from deep drilling in the Nufărul neighborhood. Pumps will be used to recover additional heat from the geothermal water.
The project is divided into 4 objects, as follows: the construction of a transport network for thermal agent and geothermal water, the construction of a Geothermal Heating Station, the construction of a new production drilling in the area of Meiului Street and the construction of 277 mini thermal points for consumers.
Elsaco Electronic, company present for over 27 years on the Romanian energy projects market, addresses on this occasion an innovative field, that of producing thermal energy from a non-polluting and renewable source – geothermal energy. This investment in the field of geothermal energy is the most important made recently in Romania.

Elsaco Electronic signs a new contract, worth 36 million lei

Thursday, 08.07.2021, Elsaco Electronic signed, with the beneficiary Olt Water Company, the works contract “Rehabilitation of water treatment system in Caracal agglomeration” within the project “Development of water and wastewater infrastructure in the period 2014-2020”.

The mentioned contact was awarded, following an open public auction, to the association Elsaco Electronic SRL & CVW Technologies SA & Carmin PopStar SRL, the leader of the association being Elsaco Electronic. The value of the contract is 35,669,971.51 lei, without VAT, and the duration of its implementation will be 35 months.
Within this project, the following investments will be made: rehabilitation of the existing supply pipe – 18 kilometers; rehabilitation of the Redea Water Household; rehabilitation of the Anton Pann Water Household; rehabilitation of the Preuzinal Waterhousehold.

On Wednesday, 21.04.2021, Elsaco Electronic signed, with the beneficiary Olt Water Company, the contract for the execution of the project “Equipping the drinking water treatment plants of Slatina Municipality with filters for drinking water”, within the project “Development of water and wastewater infrastructure in Olt County, in the period 2014-2020 ”.
The mentioned contact was attributed to the association Elsaco Electronic & CVW Technologies, the leader of the association being Elsaco Electronic. The value of the execution contract is 51.783.368,51 lei without VAT, and the duration of its implementation will be 35 months.
Within this project, the Nicolae Bălcescu and Salcia treatment plants will be rehabilitated and expanded, and they will be equipped with high-performance equipment for the treatment and monitoring of drinking water quality. The Nicolae Bălcescu treatment and pumping station will be designed for a maximum daily flow of 540 m3/h, and the Salcia treatment plant will be designed for a maximum daily flow of 490 m3/h.
The implementation of this project will improve the quality of the water supplied to the inhabitants, and Elsaco Electronic will closely monitor the fulfillment of the execution term and the accomplishment of a reference work.

On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, was held the final conference of the project “Design and execution of thermal transport and distribution networks and thermal points” within the program “Rehabilitation of urban district heating system in Focșani for the period 2009-2028 in order to comply to environmental legislation and increasing energy efficiency ”stage II, co-financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund through the Large Infrastructure Operational Program 2014-2020. The project was implemented by the association formed by the companies Elsaco Electronic, Sicor and Consix Constructii and had a value of approximately 55 million lei, without VAT.
Through this investment, the following were rehabilitated: 2.8 km of the primary thermal energy network route, 11 km of the secondary thermal energy network route and 9 thermal points.
In order to increase the energy efficiency of the system, pre-insulated pipes were used for the primary and secondary thermal networks to reduce heat losses, equipped with fault signaling systems; metering and balancing equipment at the level of the block stairs, in order to ensure the adequate temperature of the hot water and heat; heat exchangers, pumping groups, frequency converters, automation systems and data transmission systems in the dispatcher and other modern equipment, in thermal points.

Elsaco Electronic signs a new contract regarding the expansion of the water and sewerage networks in Scornicești

On 22.01.2021, the works contract “Improvement of drinking water treatment facilities and extension of water and sewerage networks in the Scornicești agglomeration” was signed, within the project “Development of water and wastewater infrastructures in Olt County, during 2014-2020 ”, the beneficiary of the contract being Compania de Apă Olt.
The works contract was awarded to the association S.C. Carmin Popstar Prod S.R.L. & S.C. Elsaco Electronic S.R.L. & S.C. Daficom Construct Instal S.R.L.
Through this project, the water supply network in the city of Scornicești will be extended by 20.1 kilometers, and the sewerage network by 20.7 kilometers.
The value of the contract is 27.280.915,85 lei without VAT. The duration of the contract is 38 months.

Elsaco Electronic signs a new contract worth 30 million euros

During this week, Elsaco Electronic signed the contract CL 17- Rehabilitation of chlorination station and arrangement of Izvarna capture enclosure; rehabilitation and extension of the Izvarna – Craiova supply pipeline Thread II Section I, with the beneficiary Compania de Apă Oltenia.
The above mentioned contract was awarded by Elsaco Electronic, in association with Hidroconstrucția and Ecoapa Design, and has a value of 122,107,823.19 lei (excluding VAT).
The contract forsees the design and execution of the following works: rehabilitation of Thread II supply pipe, on a length of 18.858 meters (PN6); extension of the Thread II supply pipe with PAFSIN pipe, De1200 mm, SN10000, PN6, on a length of 1.587 meters; rehabilitation of existing waterhomes; rehabilitation of river underpasses (by horizontal drilling or microtunneling) and underpasses of national roads; rehabilitation of the chlorination station; rehabilitation of the administrative building, as well as the arrangement of the temporary access road.
Also, within the contract there are included: the elaboration of the Technical Project, the documentation necessary to obtain the authorizations and approvals for the execution, as well as the construction works, supply and assembly of technological machinery and equipment, their testing and commissioning and the repair of any defects that occurred during the warranty period.
In September, with the same company, has been signed the contract for the rehabilitation of the Izvarna – Craiova adduction pipeline, Thread II, Tronson VI, amounting to 54.403.620,10 lei (excluding VAT), contract awarded by the association of companies Elsaco Electronic (association leader) and Ecoapa Design.

Our colleagues at Elsaco Solutions surprised us again with an interesting project.
Corneliu Aursulesei participated in the #EUvsVirus Pan-European Hackathon event from April 24-26 to develop innovative solutions to combat the coronavirus epidemic. The event was organised by the European Commission and led by the European Innovation Council.
The IoT pandemic screening solution, proposed by Corneliu under the Health&Life category, envisaged the construction of an open community IoT network for the acquisition of data from various sensors (motion, oxygen saturation, blood pressure values, temperature). The purpose of the solution, together with the sensor package and screening applications, is to avoid total isolation of people from a locality in the long term, until a cure against the virus appears.

The competition brought together more than 20.900 participants and  2.150 solutions.

Elsaco Electronic has completed the irrigation works at Hermeziu, Iaşi

Elsaco Electronic has completed in May the modernization and rehabilitation of the SPA LUNCA pumping station at FO.U.A.I. “AQUA LUNCA PRUT”, Iaşi County.

The project, with a value of 6.3 million lei, was implemented in the period 2018-2019, and included: modernization of the irrigation infrastructure, hydromechanical constructions and installations, electrical and automation installations.

The pumping station has a cumulative flow rate of 18,000 m³ / h and the three suction pipes in the Prut have a diameter of 1.200 mm, each 200 m linear each. The plant is fully automated and remotely monitored by the customer.

“The rehabilitation of the existing irrigation infrastructure is vital for the agricultural sector, especially given climate change and the fact that 48% of the total agricultural area is affected by drought.

The modernized and rehabilitated pumping station will provide the water needed for an irrigation ring that will serve an area of 12.000 hectares, project also managed by our company.

At this moment, we have 6 projects active in the field of irrigation in the counties of Brăila, Constanţa, Teleorman and Iaşi”, stated Viorel Iliuţă, General Manager Elsaco Electronic.

Elsaco Electronic, as an association leader, signed a contract with the City Hall of Brașov on Tuesday 04.09.2018 for the design and execution of the rehabilitation works for the transport and distribution networks in the Tractorul area.

The project aims at rehabilitating the heating networks in the Tractorul area, the old pipelines being replaced by pre-insulated ones. Currently, approximately 2,200 equivalent consumers are connected to the district heating network in the Tractorul district, with the system being configured so that over 6,000 equivalent consumers could be connected.
The contract has a value of 14,455,400 lei without VAT and the deadline is 31.08.2019.
“On the construction side, we will replace the old pipes, insulated with mineral wool – which are over-sized, exhibit frequent damage and heat loss – with new pipelines, pre-insulated, steel pipes, with polypropylene mantels and wire for damage detection, which are monitored through a centralized system. Most of the new network will be built on the site of the old network, but there will also be some new construction that involves expanding the existing network. We will try to keep back-up solutions for the protection of subscribers during the work, which will not be easy at all. We are an experienced company that has honored its commitments so far and we will mobilize consistent forces to meet the deadlines”, said Viorel Iliuţă, CEO of Elsaco Electronic.

Between May 15-17, 2018, Sydney will host the 17th edition of CeBIT Australia, which is also attended by the Elsaco Solutions, company from Botoșani.

CeBIT is the key event of the Asia-Pacific business technology industry. This is the meeting place for specialist in hardware and software, innovative technologies, telecommunication systems applicable in the public, industrial and household sectors, data protection systems and large data acquisition and e-commerce. Elsaco Electronic has signed a new works contract with Apa Canal Galați, contract for automation works, electrical installations and SCADA system development / implementation

The implementation of the project will take place over a period of 36 months and its value is approximately 3.3 million lei, excluding VAT.

Under the contract will be performed:

• designing and executing works for automation, electrical installations;
• SCADA Regional Water System development / implementation in the Galați county operating area;
• SCADA Regional Sewerage System development / implementation in the Galați county operating area.

The association Elsaco Electronic – Doosan Lentjes was awarded a turnkey project: “Combustion gas desulphurization system discharged from the coal boilers C5 and C6 – Combustion installation no. 2 of CET Govora “.

The project implementation will be carried out over a period of 24 months, and its value is about 97 million lei, without VAT.
By installing the desulphurization system (FGD), a substantial reduction of sulfur dioxide (SO₂) and dust emissions will be achieved, in accordance with the BAT (BREF Large Combustion Plants 2005) and the European Union requirements and recommendations. It will also increase the energy efficiency in the heat supply at customer level.
“We enjoy this result and we are looking forward with enthusiasm working at this project, being the second of this type implemented by us. In 2016, in cooperation with the German company Doosan Lentjes, we’ve successfully completed the new desulphurization installation (DeSOx) in CET 2 Iași, an investment achieved in a record time for both Romania and Europe”, said Viorel Iliuţă, CEO of Elsaco Electronic.

From April 24 to 25, 2018, Geneva will host the 8th edition of the eCom 2018 International Exhibition, the largest event dedicated to web, eCommerce, mobile and digital marketing in Switzerland.

At this year’s edition, 11 Romanian companies will participate, along with the Association for Information Technology and Communications ATIC, including the Elsaco Solutions.
The event brings together 250 exhibitors and more than 4,000 visitors and decision makers who will be able to talk to top Swiss and international experts.

Elsaco Electronic was included on the short list of companies with the best story and growth prospects in the Made in Romania project, now at its second edition.

Out of the 201 registered companies, 50 semi-finalists were selected.

These companies will enter into a mentoring program, from May to November 2018, covering topics such as marketing and branding, strategy and innovation, audit and development finance. Depending on the theme of each month, workshops, trainings, and meetings will be held for the teams and employees of the selected companies.

The recent years efforts to minimize the environmental footprint have been confirmed by the company’s second placement in the Environmental Impact category in the Green Business Index competition.

The Green Business Index (GBI) is a multi-annual project of the Green Revolution Association, initiated in 2010, aiming to independently assess and improveme the environmental performance of companies in Romania.
Using the Green Business Index platform, over 450 Romanian companies were able to assess their performance in environmental management and protection in 2017, measure their carbon footprint and adapt their business to the requirements of the cyclical economy, all related to international standards.

Itron and Elsaco Electronic have signed, in November, a contract under which Elsaco Electronic will provide, based on Itron specifications, the software platforms for
advanced solutions for detection of losses in water networks. The initiative is a key
part in the Itron’s development strategy at international level.

Itron and Elsaco are in close collaboration since 1995. For more than 10 years, the Romanian company is a key partner of reference of Itron for the development of
logistics platforms. Elsaco expertise, combining large-scale data processing ability and detailed knowledge of the water sector, is associated to the most important smart
water metering contracts Itron won in recent years, worldwide.

“We started working with Itron from meters distribution and we got that together with the French team to develop an application for the detection of water leakages – a
software used worldwide. Monday, September 26 2016, the new power plant on gas of Oradea, worth 54 million euro, was inaugurated in the presence of the Minister of European Funds, Cristian
Ghinea.

The project from CET Oradea, the most important investment made in the thermal
power industry in Romania in the last 26 years, implemented by Elsaco Engineering in association with STC S.p.a. Italy, consisted in developing the new source of production
in cogeneration, highly efficient, of electricity and heat, required by the municipality to ensure a quality public service for heating and hot water supply to the inhabitants of Oradea.

The configuration of the new CHP consists of a gas turbine of high efficiency of
45 MWe, a recovery heat boiler corresponding to the turbine of 50 MWt, two hot water boilers of 116.3 MWt, two saturated steam boilers together with all the other ancillary facilities necessary for the proper functioning. This configuration CHP uses modern technologies and provides a range of performance parameters related to
capacity, energy efficient cogeneration, specific maintenance, annual availability, compliance with the European rules concerning the emissions into the atmosphere.

Elsaco has implemented several projects of construction of new sources of
production in cogeneration of heat and power (eg CET Botoșani, Chimcomplex Borzeşti, CET Bacău) and
an environmental project at CET 2 Iași – New desulfurization plant (DeSOx ), similar projects by nature and complexity.

“The project of Oradea represented the biggest challenge for Elsaco
and his partner – STC Italia S.p.A., considering its scale. It was a real deployment, at certain moments working even 300 people on the construction site of Oradea. The success was due to the efficient organization and obviously the team of professionals
who made the project to come to life“, said Cătălin Ifrim – Project Manager.
Among the advantages of the new source of production in cogeneration can be mentioned: reducing losses on the district heating network by
maintaining an optimum temperature round-trip and increase operational safety, maximizing the revenue from the sale of electricity without affecting the continuity of supply of heat, the use of the turbine at maximum efficiency, compliance with
European norms regarding the emissions into the atmosphere.

For more than two decades Elsaco has implemented projects that have changed the
lives of local communities and the beneficiaries of the works have streamlined their costs, developed new and efficient sources of energy production in order to sustain a higher production rate, ensured to the customer a qualitative and performant service of water supply, hot water supply, heat supply, and have managed and reduced the
network losses.

Tuesday, 13/09/2016, Valeriu Iftime attended the economic forum on
“Franco-Romanian Partnerships for the Future” held in Măgurele. The event was
organized due to the visit of the French president, François Hollande.
At a reception at the French Embassy in honor of the French Community of Romania Valeriu Iftime has met the French president.

“It was an important moment for me as man to shake hands with one of the most important people in the world. I was invited to a Romanian-French forum, I was
present at that forum, I was invited by the French Embassy at a dinner which was
offered by the president in honor of the French Community of Romania. I
witnessed first two exceptional speeches. The French president shook my hand and
congratulated me”, said Valeriu Iftime and added:

“We started from meters distribution and got to develop, with a French team, an application for the detection of water losses. We have this application made by us,
based on the requirements coming from the French. It is a software that nowadays is used worldwide in Brazil, China, Russia, Turkey and many European countries. We represent a medium company, as well as Itron in France. They have over 1000 employees, six factories in France. We are a company with 500 employees. Is a partnership between two medium companies. In addition, we brought four more
French companies in our business, on the water equipment and water and heat management. Every year we had an increase in turnover and a very good relationship with the French. I had the seven years of home in business and in football from the French. I learned so much from them. A year ago we signed a cooperation protocol
with Degremont, one of the largest French companies to sell and implement solutions for
water treatment in Romania. I’m the entrepreneur and they come on the engineering and solutions part. ”

The Power and Heat Division of Elsaco Electronic has successfully implemented for the beneficiary Iaşi Municipality, a flue gas desulfurization installation for the retrofit
steam boiler (IMA4) from CET 2 Iași in order to frame the sulfur dioxide emissions
(SO2) within the limits set by the environmental standards.

The project, amounting to about 21.7 million euros, had as objective ensuring
(through the installation of desulphurisation) the compliance to the European environmental standards, a critical aspect for the Iași heating station in order to
obtain the function license, on the one hand, and to reduce the production costs,
on the other hand.
The investment implementation seeked to reduce the sulfur emissions in the
atmosphere, in order to increase energy efficiency in the heating.
“This year we successfully completed the New desulphurization installation in CET 2
Iași. It is a project that we are proud of, being the fastest carried out installation of
this kind in Europe. Also, at the performance tests were obtained better results than those
assumed. It was a real challenge for us to carry out this project, especially
regarding the implementation deadlines, a satisfaction is that we have demonstrated
that it can be done. We had a great team, dynamic people, adaptive, eager to learn,
the success is due to them”, said Ovidiu Butnaru – Project Manager, Elsaco Electronic.
Within the project, Elsaco provided: design and engineering services; general services (surveys, as-built documentation, operation and maintenance manuals); construction works and associated services; mechanical, electrical and automation technological installations; installation of fire detection, access control; commissioning and
Beneficiary staff training, performance tests.

Starting June A.C., Elsaco started the works within the project “Rehabilitation of the district heating pumps, installation of frequency inverters and associated equipment in pumping stations 12 and 13 Chișinău.

“The project value is approximately 3.3 million EUR.“The year of 2015 was a
particularly good one for Elsaco. We recorded a turnover of 158 million EUR and a profit of 5.4 million EUR , mostly due to the major projects initiated in 2014, executed in 2015 and completed in 2016: Cogeneration plant II – Chimcomplex Borzeşti,
Implementation Project at Oradea CET Source and New installation of desulfurization (DeSOx) in CET 2 Iași.2016 is a challenge for us because of the lack of projects with European funding, but we have ongoing contracts with companies operating in the industry, and we are also focusing our attention on the foreign market. Thus, for 2016, we propose that a percentage of 10-15% of turnover to be represented by projects
carried out abroad.

We already operate for 3 years in Belgium and this year we won a project in Republic of Moldova which consists of modernizing two pumping stations in Chișinau. Within it we provide works and services associated with the construction, thermomechanical installations, electrical installations and automation”, said Valeriu Iftime – President of
the Board of Elsaco Group.

Elsaco has implemented two projects in Moldova in Cahul and Florești regions, projects which targeted the implementation of SCADA systems for monitoring and controlling water networks.

During 5 days, between 5 to 10 June, Elsaco ESCO has participated in the economic mission “Modern construction technologies and processes for the energy efficiency of buildings” in Bavaria, Germany, mission organized by FNTM and its German partner
TUM-Tech.
The mission has been carried out under the Program Bayern – Fit for Partnership, supported by the Ministry for Economy, Infrastructure, Transport and Technology in Bavaria, through Bayern International.
During the 5 days the Romanian delegation, composed of 15 Romanian managers
from the construction industry, energy efficiency companies, specialized organizations
and public authorities met 20 Bavarian companies and organizations specialized in energy efficiency in construction.

This equipment purchase aims to:

• • • increase the efficiency of the capacity of the regional operator (Compania de Apă Arieș S.A.) regarding the required times for interventions on the networks in the area Turda-Câmpia Turzii;
    • ensure increased efficiency of the maintenance of drinking water and wastewater networks.

Elsaco will supply 9500 cold water meters equipped with radio reading modules for AQUATIM SA, the utility company for water supply and sewerage in Timişoara. The contract involves the delivery of the water meters and radio reading equipment, but also the implementation of the reading system and meters mounting.
The main goal of this project is intended to replace old water meters, technically and morally outdated, with the next-generation meters with radio reading. The contract is in progress, so far there have already been installed more than 2000 meters.
The water meters with radio modules allow reading the index from distances up to 1000 meters. The water company representatives can determine the water consumption, even when they don’t have access to the meter for various reasons: the device is mounted on a private property, the customers are not home or the meter system is flooded.
The main advantage for the customer, but also for the water company, is that the billing will be based on the actual consumption, not on the consumption estimates based on the previous months or prognosis . Moreover, the meters with remote reading system allow to find out the consumption at any time, but also to develop some statistics related to consumer behavior. This information also provide important clues for water leaks. If an unusually high consumption, the water company can alert customers to take measures to verify the interior installations.
